A RICH HISTORY At Monclair Bikery we are proud to carry the Pinarello line of winning bikes. Teamed with family tradition and cycling history, Pinarello started with the passion of Giovanni Pinarello and is now carried on by his son Fausto. Pinarello is an Italian bicycle manufacturing company based in Treviso, Italy.  The making of the Pinarello began in Catena di Villorba, towards the end of the 1940’s whereas the workings of Pinarello himself can be traced back to the beginning of WW II. This is when, at the age of fifteen, Giovanni Pinarello began making bicycles at the factory of Paglianti. Later, having become a racer himself, Giovanni Pinarello was unfortunately replaced to participate in the prestigious Giro d’Italia by the upcoming new star, Pasqualino Fornara. It was then, in 1952, Giovanni formulated the Pinarello company and from that starting point to now, it continues to supply mostly hand-made, high end bicycles for road racing, track racing and cyclo-cross.
